This agreement outlines expectations for safe, responsible, and respectful use of technology by students, with support from parents/guardians. All devices used by students are owned by Diamond Charter School.

Student Agreement

I understand that using school technology is a privilege. I agree to:

1. Responsible Use

  • Use school devices, accounts, and internet access for learning purposes.
  • Follow teacher instructions when using technology.
  • Keep my login information private and secure.

2. Respectful Behavior

  • Communicate respectfully with others online.
  • Not engage in bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behavior.
  • Use appropriate language and content at all times.

3. Safety & Privacy

  • Keep my personal information private (address, phone number, passwords).
  • Tell a teacher or parent if something online makes me uncomfortable.
  • Only access appropriate and school-approved websites and apps.

4. Academic Integrity

  • Complete my own work unless collaboration is allowed.
  • Not copy, cheat, or misuse technology for academic dishonesty.
  • Give credit when using someone else’s work or ideas.

5. Device Care

  • Handle devices carefully and keep them clean.
  • Report damage, loss, or technical problems right away.
  • Use devices responsibly at school and at home.

Consequences for Misuse

I understand that inappropriate use of technology may result in:

  • Loss of device or account privileges
  • School disciplinary action
  • Parent/guardian notification
  • Short or long term suspension 
  • Pay for damaged device
