Supporting Students, Partnering with Families
Clear guidelines and shared expectations to help every
student succeed in a safe and structured environment.
Our Commitment to Families
At Diamond Charter School, we believe student success is built through strong collaboration between families and educators. This page provides essential information to help parents and students stay informed, prepared, and aligned with school expectations.
Our goal is to create a structured, respectful, and supportive environment where every child can focus on learning and growth.
Attendance Policy
Consistent attendance plays a critical role in a child’s academic progress.
- Students are expected to attend school daily and arrive on time
- Late arrivals are recorded and may impact academic performance
- Absences should be reported to the school as early as possible
- Extended absences may require documentation
Regular attendance ensures students stay engaged, build routines, and fully benefit from classroom learning.
Pickup & Dismissal Guidelines
To ensure student safety and a smooth dismissal process, families must follow established pickup procedures:
- Students must be picked up by an authorized parent, guardian, or designated individual
- Timely pickup is required to avoid delays and disruptions
- Late pickups may require additional sign-out procedures
- Early pickups must be communicated in advance and completed through the main office
These guidelines help maintain a secure and organized environment for all students.
Dress Code Expectations
While uniforms are not required, students are expected to dress in a way that supports a positive learning environment.
- Clothing should be clean, comfortable, and appropriate for school
- Attire must not be distracting, unsafe, or inappropriate
- Footwear must be worn at all times
- Clothing with inappropriate language or imagery is not permitted
Our dress code encourages students to feel comfortable while maintaining respect for the school community.
Technology Policy
To promote focus and minimize distractions, student use of personal technology is limited during the school day.
- Smartphones and internet-enabled devices are not permitted for use during school hours
- Devices brought to school must remain stored and unused
- Technology use is guided and supervised when part of classroom learning
This approach helps students stay engaged and fully present in their learning environment.
Behavior Expectations
Diamond Charter School is committed to maintaining a respectful and safe community for all students.
We expect students to:
- Treat others with respect and kindness
- Follow school rules and classroom expectations
- Take responsibility for their actions
- Seek help from staff when needed
The school maintains a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, violence, and unsafe behavior. Any incidents are taken seriously and addressed promptly to ensure student safety.
Our focus is not only on discipline, but also on helping students learn positive behaviors, accountability, and conflict resolution.
Student Responsibilities
Students play an active role in creating a positive school environment. They are encouraged to:
- Attend school regularly and be prepared for learning
- Complete assignments and participate in class
- Respect classmates, teachers, and school property
- Follow school policies and guidelines
By taking responsibility for their actions, students build habits that support both academic and personal success.
Staying Connected
We encourage open communication between families and the school.
Parents are encouraged to:
- Stay informed through school updates and communication channels
- Reach out to teachers or staff with questions or concerns
- Participate in their child’s educational journey
Working together, we can ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed.
